With a selection of up to 20 sailings daily, the port of Sanur connects Denpasar, Bali with Lombok. The port of Sanur is sometimes also referred to as Sanur Beach Harbor or Sanur Ferry Terminal. It is one of the main ports in Bali and with only a 30-minute sailing duration it is the best place to get a ferry to Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan
From Padangbai you board the public ferry (think big, slow and a little creaky) which will take to to Lombok in 4-6 hours. You arrive in Lembar, a harbor town on Lombok and from there take a taxi or bemo (local minibus service) to Bangsal. From Bangsal you take a small public boat to Gili Trawangan- this journey takes 30 minutes to an hour.
